The baby nods, though there's no way for his dad to know if it's because he understands or just because he's responding to spoken words. He does know what the head shake means though and his grip shifts to the edge of his chest plate instead, because he doesn't like when dad says no.

His ear twitches at the touch and he tilts his head towards the touch, blinking big brown eyes up at him. The sound he lets out is almost a purr but not quite and he leans forward to rest his head against dad's chest, just because he can.
